DISAPPOINTING

This show made zero sense. Missing elements of the show overall. It was never shown where the girl woke up. The into really boring, made no sense and was way too long. Saw the Nutcracker for maybe 2min the whole performance. The best part of the show was the live orchestra whom did na amazing job. Cannot same the same for the rest of the show. My husband fell asleep several times he got so bored watching this. Money not well spent. How did a belly dancer make it into a Nutcracker performance? Please make this all make sense. Definitely not the show I’ve seen in the past.

REALLY REALLY BAD

Music - sounded like it was coming from a TV speaker. Choreography - embarrassing. Dancing - like a grade school dance recital. Stage - just a flat place that you can also dance on. So... If you are into grade school talent shows and dance recitals, you are in luck, because that's what you are going to see. If you want to see some Portland Community College quality choreography, you're in luck because that's what this Ballet troup has for you. Also, the Russian cossack wore a clown suit and demonstrated some top-notch playground tricks with his sparkly hula hoop. Good things? - well the theater staff did a good job moving us in and out of the theatre. It was very efficient. Just see a movie on Netflix this Christmas. It will be cheaper and much more fulfilling than this phoned-in performance I saw last night.

NOT GEORGE BALANCHINE'S VISION

First act was danceless. Pantomime. Silent movie with orchestra. And boring. Finally, dancing (scene 10). The snowflakes were not together. It was approximate. Not enoough musicians in the pit so the sound was less than it could have been. We left at intermission. So much for thrilling the grandchildren with their first ballet. This was an amateur production.

WASTE OF MONEY

Not much better then a high school show. No story line. The cast was 80% children. Only a handful of professionals dancers. Definitely not worth the money we spent.
