Orville Peck

Why see Orville Peck?

Appaloosa

Mysterious country artist Orville Peck brings his fringed mask back to the road this year on a brand-new jaunt, supporting his latest release, a 7-song EP, Appaloosa.

Who Is Orville Peck?

Blessed with a rich baritone that evokes Roy Orbison, Johnny Cash, and more,  Peck channels his queer identity into an atmospheric and theatrical brand of country, making for cinematic live shows. If you're new to the 'Peck, we suggest starting with classic country meets dreamy-pop tune 'Dead of Night' from his 2019 album, Pony.

Seemingly coming from nowhere around 2018, the enigmatic musician has made his mark, with an appearance on RuPaul's Drag Race (plus a collab with previous winner and fellow country artist Trixie Mattel), and working with the country's best on My Kind Of Country. In 2025, Peck made his Broadway debut, laying the mask aside for his run as the Emcee in Cabaret.

Orville Peck at Budweiser Stage

The crowd was pretty thin for the opening acts, but was wowed by the astounding voices and musicians of War and Treaty. Too bad the sound didn’t do them justice. Truly soaring vocals! Orville Peck took the stage to a very warm welcome from the audience and did not disappoint. Not for a second. From the first notes of Big Sky it was big love! Plenty to sing along to, and dance to for his longtime fans, And some songs from the new album, out this August. He told a few stories about his humble beginnings in Toronto, thanked the audience for their understanding during his much needed break from touring and added a lovely shout out shout to his family who were present . He was brought back to the stage for an encore many one of the most deafening audience cheers I can remember. None of the highlights of any Orville Peck show is the diverse audience : the LGBTQ crowd, country fans, music fans in general , young, old ( the drag Queens were MIA this time) everyone has a great time! ...
