What better way to ring in the New Year than with the Oregon Symphony performing Beethoven's iconic Ninth Symphony? The masterpiece is one of the most well-known works of Ludwig van Beethoven and was itself adapted from Friedrich Schiller's 1785 poem, "An die Freude (Ode to Joy)". The symphony's Associate Conductor Deanna Tham will take the podium, leading the orchestra and singers through the composition's movements. Set yourself up for a triumphant New Year with an Ode to Joy!
The vocal chorus will include Soprano Katherine White, Mezzo Soprano Hannah Penn, Tenor John Matthew Myers, and Baritone Zachary Lenox.
