The Oregon Symphony's 2019/20 season is filled with the likes of Beethoven, Bach, Mozart and Rachmaninoff, and whilst that may prove popular with the older generations, the programming includes a few very light-hearted, child-friendly concerts just like this musical retelling of Dr. Zeus' zany classic Green Eggs and Ham.
Conducted by the ensemble's Associate Conductor Norman Huynh and narrated by children's concert regular Pam Mahon, with extra special performances by the local Dance West company and the Pacific Youth Choir, the beloved children's tale chronicles the attempts of energetic cartoon character Sam-I-Am to persuade the narrator to try the delectable delicacy of green eggs and ham.
