Oregon Symphony - Blake Pouliot

Oregon Symphony - Blake Pouliot at Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall

Why see Oregon Symphony - Blake Pouliot?

A virtuoso violinist

Oregon Symphony Orchestra are joined by the supremely talented Blake Pouliot for a majestic performance of Mendelssohn's Violin Concerto in E Minor. The 28-year-old Canadian native's talent has been described as "once in a lifetime" by the Toronto Star, and the young virtuoso is sure to bring an air of expressive glory to the Mendelssohn classic.

Also on the program is Brahms' Academic Festival Overture and Zemlinsky's emotional "The Mermaid", a piece which pulls on the heartstrings having been composed in the wake of Zemlinsky's own experience of lost love.
