Oregon Symphony play Beethoven's joyous 8th
Oregon Symphony Orchestra present a joyous performance of Beethoven's 8th Symphony at Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall, conducted by Estonian conductor Kristiina Poska. Known by Beethoven himself as his "Little Symphony in F", the somewhat exploratory symphony is one in which he let his creativity run wild, creating an ebullient, playful work to rival any of his best.
Also featuring in the performance are two stirring Benjamin Britten pieces; his Violin Concerto composed among the backdrop World War Two, and Four Sea Interludes from his Peter Grimes opera.
