Oregon Symphony Orchestra present a joyous performance of Beethoven's 8th Symphony at Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall, conducted by Estonian conductor Kristiina Poska. Known by Beethoven himself as his "Little Symphony in F", the somewhat exploratory symphony is one in which he let his creativity run wild, creating an ebullient, playful work to rival any of his best.

Described as "Riverdance for the voice", this truly Irish ensemble takes their influences from the likes of Enya, Moya Brennan and Clannad, with their unique spin on traditional songs and modern pieces earning them 10 million albums sold worldwide since their inception. Heartland country rockers The Brothers Osborne were born and raised in Maryland on their father's rich record collection, which influenced nightly jam sessions to the sounds of Bob Seger, Tom Petty, and Hank Williams. The Oregon Symphony Orchestra bring us a program of classical masterpieces inspired by the art of dance! Taking the spotlight is Schubert's eighth symphony, the Unfinished Symphony, as well as Strauss' magnificent Der Rosenkavalier Suite. Further playfulness is brought to the program with Piazzola's South American dance-tinged Four Seasons of Buenos Aires and a brand new commission by Giancarlo Castro.
